I love reading blogs; it’s something that I’ve been doing daily over the last 15 years. In the summer, I have more time and I can review and organize my saved for later articles on Feedly and Pocket.
In the second part of The Summer Series, I’m sharing my favourite blogs about general topics. It doesn’t include illustration and art related blogs or any other blogs about my particular tastes that might be too technical or uninteresting for you.
The list includes a short description and 3 of my favorite articles of each blog.
1- Zen Habits
Zen Habits is the blog of Leo Babauta. He writes about simplicity, minimalism, living frugally, and daily topics.
Since he started Zen Habits in 2007 he has posted a ton of high quality articles and has accomplished amazing things.
He certainly has influenced many aspects of my life.
Three articles I especially like:
– The Most Important Moment.
– 38 Life Lessons I’ve Learned in 38 Years.
– Unconventional Productivity.
2. Seth Godin
Seth Godin has the ability to write very short articles (sometimes just a paragraph) with an immense meaning. He usually writes about life, decisions, business, daily topics and general concepts.
Three articles I especially like:
– On Saying “No”.
– When Things Go Wrong.
– The Ruby Slippers Problem.
3. Derek Sivers
Derek Sivers doesn’t write as often as the other bloggers on this list, but every article he writes is gold. He writes about business, daily topics and general concepts.
Three articles I especially like:
– The Horse Fable.
– Disconnect.
– Friends From Memory.
4. Tobias van Schneider
Tobias van Schneider writes a fabulous weekly newsletter and he later posts his articles on his blog on Medium. He is a designer, but he writes more about life, general and day-to-day topics, not necessarily about design.
Three articles I especially like:
– The Secret Is the Beginning.
– The Inspiration Lie.
– The Big List.
5. Lifehacker
Lifehacker is one of my favourite blogs because it mixes technology, productivity and life hacks.
Three articles I especially like:
– Employ the “Rule Of 3” for Daily, Weekly and Annual Productivity.
– Recalibrate Your Life’s Direction with This One Hour Exercise.
– Lifehacker Pack for Mac: The List of the Essential Mac Apps.
6. Minimalist Baker
Dana writes amazing simple and healthy recipes on Minimalist Baker.
All recipes require 10 ingredients or less, 1 bowl or 1 pot, or 30 minutes or less to prepare. The pictures of each recipe are spectacular.
Three articles I especially like:
– Piña Colada Popsicles.
– Classic Vegan Falafel.
– Golden Milk Ice Cream.
7. Nomadic Matt
Nomadic Matt is one of my favourite blogs about travelling.
Matt shares tips, resources and his adventures. He started travelling 10 years ago, and his articles encouraged me to start travelling as well.
Three articles I especially like:
– Why It’s Never the Perfect Time to Travel.
– 5 Steps to Booking a Cheap Flight Online.
– Tips for Traveling in Dangerous Places.

Great list of blogs. Tp be honest I did not know about any of these before reading this article. I will give all of those a try, all of them seem nice. I try to read as much as possible lately to improve my english skills.
Darius Foroux (http://dariusforoux.com/blog/) es altamente recomendable ;)
Este es uno de mis artículos favoritos, pero en realidad podría ser cualquiera, Dariux suele ir muy profundo y desenmaraña de manera simple, temas complejos.
